Cactus Desert Gnome Christmas Card. Gnomes have found a successful place in the holiday traditions. In German fairy tales, these earth dwellers were often described as old men who guarded buried treasure and minerals in the ground. Although few people believe in the actual existence of gnomes, gnome statues have kept a solid reputation for bringing good luck and serving as good luck charms. Since my daughter has lived in Germany for many years, I found a connection to these old men and added a very happy one to this card. Blank inside because no one says it better than you.
